#25

A close friend of mine visiting for the weekend had expressed his desire to participate in Love the Pudge.

We had spoken about his interest in the project a couple of weeks prior to his visit. It was in this conversation that he revealed to me his frequent battle with the physical capacities of his own body.

"I just wish it was better", he told me. In my opinion, I see nature physically granting this individual a great hand. Muscular, tall, and physically fit, it seems like he could conquer any obstacle placed before him.

Regardless, in his mind, there are a host of things hindering the perfection he desires. Although I will most likely never learn what his image of "physical ideality" looks like, this insecurity stands as another intriguing and important example of the LTP movement.

#24 [ Brooklyn ]

The Love the Pudge United States journey has begun, and with this new chapter, its about embracing it all--translating the confidence that radiates from the inside out to the images that make the campaign.

. . .

The location: Brooklyn, New York. The individual--a young woman with an effervescent personality and television host aspirations. Her infectious smile and warm personality welcomed me into her cozy loft, complete with a chalkboard wall. Wishing to experience the "Love the Pudge effect" after an interview on the campaign, she stepped in front of her chalk wall. A bandeau top and high waisted pants framed a beautifully curvy body. After a ballet teacher nudged fun at her midsection at a young age, she struggled with insecurity. Innocent girl had just wanted to eat some fries in peace. Well, baring all to my lens, she truly flaunted her stuff. There was copious laughter, music for dancing, and lots of hip shaking. Her red lips encased that infectious smile that was filled with beaming confidence. She radiated fierceness.
